How to Share Stag Do Photos With the Whole Group
Everyone takes photos on a stag do, and a week later nobody can find them. The best ones are on someone else's phone, the group chat has been muted, and half the videos never made it out. If you're the best man or the organiser, this is how to get everyone's photos and videos in one place with very little effort.
Why stag do photos get lost
- Chat apps squash them. Photos and especially videos are usually compressed when you send them in a group chat, so the best moments look worse than they did on the night.
- Nobody scrolls back. A weekend's worth of photos gets buried under days of jokes and memes.
- People drop out or mute the chat. The photos go with them.
- The best shots are on one person's phone. They mean to send them and never do.
The ways people try to share them
None of these is wrong, but each has a catch.
- The group chat. Quick, but photos are compressed, and finding anything later is a pain.
- A shared album on Google Photos or iCloud. Good quality, but everyone usually needs the right app or account and has to accept an invite first.
- AirDrop, USB sticks or emailing. Fine for two people. It doesn't work for a group of fifteen.
- A gallery link or QR code. One link, no app and no account. Everyone uploads from their own phone, and the originals arrive in one place. This is what AllShare does.
A simple plan for the best man
1. Before the weekend
Create a gallery and copy your upload link. Put it in the group chat before you set off, with a short message: "Everyone's photos and videos go here. Takes ten seconds, no app needed."
2. During the weekend
Remind the lads once, preferably after the first night when everyone has photos to share. If you're having a big dinner, you can print the QR code on a card and put it on the table. The link and the QR code do the same thing, so use whichever is easier.
3. On the way home
Train rides and airport queues are the best time to upload. Mention it once more on the Sunday while the weekend is fresh and everyone's phone is in their hand.
4. Afterwards
Log in to your dashboard to see everything that came in. Guests can upload but can't view or delete the gallery, so you're in control of what gets shared on. You can download everything in one go. It saves as a single zip file that opens into a folder of originals on your computer, and from there you can pass on the best ones.
Plan for the storage
A stag do creates far more than a normal evening, especially with videos. Here's roughly how much fits, based on an average phone photo of about 3MB (videos take up more):
- Free: 200MB, about 65 photos, kept for 7 days. Fine for a small group or a trial.
- Bronze (£5.99 once): 2GB, about 650 photos, kept for 3 months. A good fit for most weekends.
- Silver (£9.99 once): 5GB, about 1,700 photos, kept for 6 months. Best for a big group, or if there will be a lot of video.
- Gold (£14.99 once): 15GB, about 5,000 photos, kept for 12 months. Ideal if you organise several weekends or want the longest storage.
The number of lads can be as large as you like. Only the total storage is limited. Download your photos before the storage period ends.
Get more photos out of the group
- Make it one tap. Pin the link at the top of the group chat.
- Ask for videos too. The best moments are often short clips. Guests can upload common photo and video formats, including JPEG, PNG, HEIC, MP4 and MOV, up to 100MB per file.
- Nudge once, not five times. One reminder on the Sunday does more than daily nagging.
- Start before you leave. Photos from the airport and the first drinks are often the funniest.

Frequently asked questions
Who should set it up?
The best man or main organiser. They create the gallery, share the link and download everything afterwards. Everyone else just uploads.
Do the lads need an app or an account?
No. They tap the link or scan the QR code and upload from their phone's browser.
Can everyone see each other's photos?
No. Only the organiser can view the gallery, once they log in. Guests can upload but not view or delete. After downloading, you can share the best ones with the group however you like.
How long do the photos stay available?
It depends on your plan: 7 days on Free, 3 months on Bronze, 6 months on Silver and 12 months on Gold. Download them before your storage period ends.
